HPE Networking

HPE Networking now brings Aruba campus and branch infrastructure together with Juniper routing, switching, security and Mist AI operations. The useful buying question is not whether HPE has a complete network. It is which operating model you want across the campus, branch, data center and AI fabric.

Use this page to

decide whether the combined HPE, Aruba and Juniper portfolio fits your network, then find a partner that can prove the design before rollout.

What Changed After Juniper Joined HPE

  • HPE can now cover branch, campus, data center, routing, security and AI networking inside one vendor portfolio.
  • Mist is the cloud operations layer to examine. Marvis is the AI assistant and automation framework that turns telemetry into suggested or automated action.
  • Existing Aruba and Juniper customers should ask how management, licensing and support will converge. Do not assume one contract or one console until the proposal shows it.
  • The reseller matters as much as the logo. Ask for lab evidence, a migration sequence and named support ownership before approving a network-wide change.

What to Settle Before You Ask for an HPE Networking Quote

The combined portfolio is broad enough to solve several network jobs. Keep the proposal tied to the one you have.

What does HPE own now across Aruba, Juniper, Mist and Marvis?

Treat it as one portfolio with several operating histories

Aruba brings campus, branch and wireless depth. Juniper adds routing, switching, security and Mist cloud operations. HPE is extending Mist support across more of the HPE Networking portfolio and bringing the Marvis automation framework into Aruba Central.

That direction matters, but a direction is not the same thing as a finished migration. Ask which products are managed in which console today, which licenses are required and what changes during the contract term.

Your next step

List the Aruba, Juniper and other network equipment already installed. Make the reseller map each device to its current and proposed management system.

When should HPE Networking make a Cisco shortlist?

Start with the operating model

Put HPE on the shortlist when you want to compare a Mist-led, AI-assisted network operating model with Cisco's integrated networking and security stack. Existing Aruba or Juniper equipment can make that comparison especially useful.

Cisco may still be the cleaner fit for an estate already standardized on Cisco skills, contracts and tooling. The fair comparison is the full operational change, not a switch price.

Your next step

Ask both vendors to demonstrate the same incident, change and rollback using your topology. Compare staff effort and evidence, not dashboard screenshots.

What should an HPE networking partner prove before a rollout?

Make the proposal survive a lab

A capable partner should show the proposed software versions, licenses, integrations, migration sequence and support ownership. For a mixed Aruba and Juniper estate, include how identity, policy, observability and incident handling work across both sides.

A clean slide does not prove a clean cutover. Ask for acceptance tests and a rollback point for every migration stage.

Your next step

Choose a partner with a usable lab or proof-of-concept process, then test one production-like site before scaling.
