SafeMode

Also known as: Everpure SafeMode, Pure Storage SafeMode

Everpure's immutable, indelible snapshot technology, built into the primary storage array so ransomware can't delete or encrypt backups even with compromised administrator credentials.

SafeMode is Everpure's (formerly Pure Storage's) cyber-resilience feature: immutable, indelible snapshots enforced at the primary array level, so a compromised administrator account still can't delete or encrypt the underlying data. Newer Trusted Recovery capabilities add multi-party, out-of-band authorization for sensitive data actions through Everpure Fusion. The architectural bet behind SafeMode is that ransomware resilience shouldn't require a separate isolated vault environment, in contrast to Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery's isolated-vault model or HPE Zerto's continuous-replication model.
